Parker & James Communications, Inc., an award winning marketing
and communications agency, was formed in 1991 by Elenore Parker
and Donald G. James. Parker & James is dedicated to helping
organizations reach their goals by integrating public relations,
direct marketing, and advertising strategies. We work with
private business clients and non-profit and public organizations.
Elenore Parker
Elenore Parker, President of Parker & James Communications,
also serves as the Director of Public Relations. As an expert
in publicity with extensive experience in sales and marketing,
she brings well-honed business and media understanding to
her clients.
In 1982 Parker founded Good News! Public Relations, a firm
that specialized in media relations. She eventually merged
with Donald James to form Parker & James Communications, Inc.
She first developed her promotional skills as account executive
with the nation's largest lecture service, American Program
Bureau, and as managing producer of a professional theater
company. Parker, who holds BS and MS degrees in education
from the University of Massachusetts, is past president of
the Publicity Club of New England and is currently vice president
of The Boston Children's Theatre. For 10 years she served
as Drama Critic for two daily newspapers.
Donald G. James
Donald G. James, Director of Advertising for Parker & James
Communications, has had extensive experience in advertising,
marketing, and public relations. He also is expert in the
area of database direct marketing and has produced numerous
successful campaigns.
James began his career with General Electric in its advertising
and public relations training program, after graduating from
the Boston University School of Public Relations and Communications.
James later served in public relations with AVCO's Research
and Advanced Development Division, and as an advertising executive
with several agencies. He also established and managed an
in-house advertising agency and was public relations director
for Addison-Wesley Publishing Company.
